PSTN switch-off migration
The UK's analogue phone network (PSTN) and ISDN are being retired, with Openreach working to a fixed date of 31 January 2027. We move your lines and numbers to digital services and help you check the equipment that still relies on copper.
Openreach has been withdrawing Wholesale Line Rental and moving the country to fibre and digital voice. Any business still on analogue lines or ISDN needs a digital alternative, and lines left unmigrated have already seen significant rental increases during 2026.
Phones are the obvious part, but many devices also use phone lines: intruder and fire alarms, lift emergency lines, door entry, franking machines, card terminals and telecare devices. We audit what is connected to each line and plan the right replacement for each, from VoIP and SIP to digital line products and 4G alarm communicators.

Questions we get asked
Something else on your mind? Call 020 7112 8558 or send us a message and a telecoms specialist will reply.
When is the PSTN switch-off?
Openreach has set 31 January 2027 as the date the PSTN will be retired. Lines are being migrated before then, and businesses should not wait for their provider to contact them.
Will my alarm still work?
Many alarm diallers and lift lines need replacing or reconfiguring. Ask your alarm or lift maintenance company to confirm compatibility, and we can supply suitable digital or 4G connections.
Can I keep my phone number?
Yes. Numbers can be ported to a VoIP system or a digital line service.
