Will VoIP work on my current broadband?
Most business broadband handles VoIP well. Each call uses roughly 100 kbps in each direction with the standard G.711 codec, so a 10 Mbps upload can carry dozens of calls. We run a line test before go-live and can supply a dedicated voice-ready connection if needed.
Can I keep my existing phone numbers?
Yes. Geographic, 0800, 0808 and 03 numbers can almost always be ported. We handle the paperwork and you keep using your current service until the port completes.
Do I need new desk phones?
Not always. Many people use only the apps. If you want handsets, we supply models from established manufacturers and can check whether your existing SIP phones can be reused.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Calls can fail over automatically to mobiles or another number. You can also add a 4G or 5G backup router so the office keeps working.
